Cloud Networking is Building Momentum

Pertino is the 5th tech startup that I have been part of as the head of marketing. As with Pertino, each of these companies brought a disruptive solution to the market and, in the process, created an new entirely new industry category. Creating a new category is no easy feat in an industry such as networking, which is littered with overhyped and acronym-laded derivatives. It takes hardcore innovation, constant evangelism, other companies that are following your lead (and mimicking your lexicon), and lots of real-world customer validation.

One surefire way to determine if you're making progress is unsolicited coverage by respected analyst firms. So, you can imagine my delight to find that Current Analysis, an analyst firm specializing in identifying emerging technologies and trends within the IT and telecom sectors, wrote their first coverage of Pertino in their recent IT Connection Blog called Pertino: Meshing Remote Acces Flexibility with Corporate IP VPN Manageability.

Other leading industry analysts firms have taken notice as well, here is a recent report from 451 Research on our recently announced AppScape app store for cloud network services. I will also post a copy of the Enterprise Strategy Group (ESG) in the coming weeks once I secure reprint rights.

Pertino is my 5th start-up since "doing time" at AT&T and Siemens. I thrive on building new market opportunities and speak networking, security, cloud, XaaS, mobile, Big Data, carriers, and чуть-чу́ть Russian.
