Pertino Update - New Features and Enhancements Bring New Packages and Pricing

It’s hard to believe that a year and a half has gone by since we first fired up our Cloud Network Engine and launched the Pertino cloud networking service into public beta. That was February 13, 2013, and our product has grown by leaps and bounds since then. To match all of these expanded features and capabilities, we are announcing updates to our pricing plans.

We are gratified by the fact that more than 5,000 IT pros have already used Pertino to build cloud networks that span 60 countries worldwide and support a wide range of personal and business use cases. In the eight months since hiring our initial sales team, hundreds of companies have purchased Pertino to build a new business VPN or extend an existing one.

Much has transpired on the product front as well. Since public beta began, we’ve rolled out more than a dozen new software releases and service enhancements encompassing our global cloud infrastructure, Cloud Network Engine platform, device support and CloudScape™ management console. Here’s a list of just a few of those updates:

  • Launched our AppScape™ network services appstore, making it possible for IT pros to add powerful, virtual network services to their cloud networks with just a few clicks. Here are the first of many apps to come:

    • UsageMonitor: a powerful new app that provides instant visibility into bandwidth utilization across your Pertino cloud network by user and device.

    • ADConnect: provides the ability to extend AD domain controller services to devices on your Pertino cloud network.

    • NameStation: provides the ability to customize the default fully qualified domain names (FQDN) for all of your devices.

    • GeoView & GeoView Pro: provides city and street-level (Pro version) geolocation of devices on your Pertino cloud network.

  • Introduced Pertino for Android, the first all-in-one mobile app that combines VPN with secure access to behind-the-firewall and cloud-based files and applications.

  • Added support for Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, Mac OS X and Linux devices.

  • Added new infrastructure services to our Cloud Network Engine platform:

    • DNS services for Pertino cloud networks that provide default and custom names for all devices.

    • Big data backend infrastructure that enables streams processing, storage, analytics and reporting of cloud network performance and meta data.

  • Expanded the global reach and performance of our Cloud Network Engine platform by adding new top-tier cloud infrastructure service providers, including Google Compute, Rackspace and Digital Ocean.

  • Completely revamped our CloudScape management console to make it easier than ever to build and manage Pertino cloud networks.

Best of all, customers have been able to enjoy these new features and enhancements for free or at no additional cost by taking advantage of our free Personal plan or introductory pricing on our paid Basic and Business plans.

On October 1, 2014, Pertino will be implementing a number of changes to our plans and pricing to reflect the General Availability of our Cloud Network Engine and the countless improvements that have been made since the start of public beta. A summary of these changes follows.
