Practical Software Defined Networking With Pertino

Today's go-to WAN options of MPLS and Internet VPN have been around for well over a decade. In fact, just about everything else in IT has evolved significantly over the last decade – computing, apps, storage, devices – EXCEPT networking. With Software-Defined Networking (SDN), all of that is about to change.

IT Pro Jeff Wilson recently took a deep dive into our SDN-powered Cloud Network Engine service and shared some revealing insights on his blog – agnostic computing.com. Which is fortunate for us, because we didn’t pay him to do any of this, not even a t-shirt.

Here's just one excerpt where Jeff provides a fantastic description of what we do: “Pertino is essentially an ipv4 & ipv6 overlay technology employing NVGRE-like encapsulation dubbed ‘Overpass’ that works with your existing on-prem equipment and extends securely your Layer 2/Layer 3 LAN assets to the places where your users are: the internet."

Read Jeff’s blog for yourself. If you want to learn more, try Pertino for free.
